Missy Higgins/Mason Jennings concert
Please someone join me this Wednesday so I don't have to go to another concert by myself and look like a lame ass.
This chick is so great! Listen to some of her new tunes here: www.myspace.com/missyhiggins
The show is at the Palladium THIS WEDNESDAY, MAY 21.
I really don't want to miss this show and I really don't want to go alone....who's in?

My New Job
The first step to believing in yourself is giving yourself a chance. I saw a job listing for a company called Medtronic, a medical product and therapy company. I didn't think that I'd get the job, but it looked like something I would love to do. After debating with myself for a few minutes, I finally decided that it was worth a shot and sent my resume.
Two weeks and six interviews later, I received an offer letter from Medtronic. I had the highest and fastest score on the aptitude test, and the district sales manager said that my interview was the most impressive he has ever conducted. And I was just being myself!!
If I hadn't given myself a chance to be considered for an interview by sending my resume despite my doubts, I would not be in the position I am in today. My first day on the job is tomorrow, and I am glowing :)
Thanks to everyone for your love!

Goal Numero Uno
So...my boss has cut my work week in half again this week. He is a photographer and has a month-long project, when they have finished with what's on the schedule, they stop working. His pay rate doesn't change, but if he isn't there, I'm not there. As I am paid hourly with no time off or vacation this presents a predicament for me namely in the area of such luxuries as...food, gasoline and housing. Bottom line is that I need a different job. First of all, I'm a freaking awesome employee, second of all, I'm a freaking awesome employee, and third of all, I'm a freaking awesome employee. Woot!
My resume includes work as a Project Coordinator for a printing company, Special Projects Manager for an ad agency, and Producer for a photography/videography/design firm.
If any of you know of any leads to assist the accomplishment of my top priority goal, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you ever so much,
Heather Cook

Library of videos, etc
Salt Lake County Library System has a bunch of those DVDs. I'm happy to reserve and copy any that you'd like. Here is a link to the ones I pulled up:http://ipac.slco.lib.ut.us/ipac20/ipac.jsp?session=Y2U58772773G4.91210&profile=dial&uri=search=BAW~!Beachbody%20(Firm)&menu=search&submenu=subtab22&source=~!horizon
I haven't looked at the Salt Lake City library system yet, but that's another great resource. If any other non-Salt Laker wants access to our fine libraries, just let me know. The Salt Lake County Library has over 12 million items in its collection and is literally one of the best libraries in the country. You can check it out here: http://www.slco.lib.ut.us/ and http://www.slcpl.lib.ut.us/index.jsp

Exercise dvds... can anyone help?
I really like the beachbody products. I am still doing P90x but I will be finished at the end of the month and I'd like to keep up the resistance training but change up the cardio days (at least until I can get mt. biking). Anyway, I 'm wondering if anyone has any good videos I can burn or particularly if anyone has (or knows anyone who has) any beachbody dvds. I'm especially interested in - hip hop abs, turbo jam or yoga booty ballet. There just so freakin' expensive!!!

Very motivated
Well, yesterday I accomplished my main goal and sold an account for my parents company due to my Direct Mail campaign. This is pretty huge. Also, I have been cross country skiing and excercising as planned even though I have been sick. I got myself a big calandar that I can write on, and it keeps me on track. Good things on the horizon!! Oh, I almost forgot, "Woot!."

Natural Birth Control
I know I mentioned my friend "LC" Lady Comp and you all wanted more info so here's the links below. I have to say it will be officially one year next month off birth control pills and I am lovin' it. No pills, no horse estrogen, no horrific mood swings, my sex drive has returned and no babies! The site for more info and to get one is www.naturalmethods.com or i think www.raxmedical.com
The FDA has only appoved it as a "Fertility Monitor" not contraceptive because technically it can't prevent pregnancy. You have to choose to take your temp every day and abstain or use protection on the days it tells you to in order to prevent pregnancy. Sort of like how you have to choose to take the pill every day or that doesn't quite prevent pregnancy either... right? Don't even get me started on the FDA...

Of course, it's an Oprah video but so thought inspiring and a bit grounding.
Audrey, maybe you can find some inspiration in his words!

Goal progress is going slowly
How is everyone doing with their goals? I'm not feeling especially motivated. Kind of lazy, actually. Any ideas or tips?
Thanks!

To the lovely ladies that rock my world!
Hey all,
I just wanted to say thanks to those that contributed to my fundraiser! You guys are AWESOME!!! Also, I wanted to you know what a success the fest was for Isaac and me. We biked almost 50 miles! We were also interviewed by the local paper and our picture was taken (probably because I was the only person pulling a trailer and I had a huge bike pump in the back of it LOL). Isaac sang or slept the whole way and had a great time! A friend of mine lives in Moab and will be sending the article we are in to me. I'll scan it and post it when I get it.
Thanks again!!
You girlees ROCK!

Sales Goal Setting Article
I decided today to share our meeting topic and worksheets with my Timeshare Resale team... and I also found this great article relating goal setting to increasing sales that I gave to them. Just thought I'd pass it along to my fellow Goddesses.

Skinny Tire Fest
Hey guys!
In keeping with my goals I'm riding in the skinny tire fest down in Moab this weekend. I need to raise 70 bucks to ride this. I have raised almost 40, so I'm super close. If you guys can spare a couple of bucks that would be awesome.
here is the website:

Thanks a bunch,
Rachel AKA DJ
ps no meeting would be complete without a drunk ruby falling off an ottoman. WOOT!

What you all missed...
Thanks for the recap, Audrey. What you all missed was me throwing up for a good hour or two before passing out on the futon. Then I woke up at 4:15am, went home to sleep for two hours before going to teach high school. Can I get a WOOT?
Honestly, I am so so so sorry about my drunkenness. I don't know what came over me.
What I didn't get a chance to bring up in between falling off an ottoman and puking up some appetizers was as follows:
1) My life coach Stephanie is having her second Inspiration Series Workshop for only $30 on Saturday, March 8 from 7pm to 9:30. This month's topic is Exploring and Rewriting Beliefs. I copied you all a flier but didn't get them to you last night. If I can figure it out, I'll post it here.
2) Vegas for sure March 14-16. I found us a decent deal to stay at the Mirage and for four people to a room it would be $120 for the whole weekend. Paypal me $120 to misstibbits@hotmail.com by Sunday night if you want me to book it.
That's it for now! I'll be emailing a recap of everyone's goals so we can help support each other.

Welcome...and Woot!
I'm pleased to offer the first post in what I hope becomes a very active discussion board. A big thanks to Kristen for hosting us in her beautiful home last night! For anyone who missed it, here's what happened:
We ate some delicious food -- all prepared by Kristen -- and were totally impressed by her gorgeous home. Ruby facilitated the discussion and handed out a number of worksheets to guide us in our process. Then each one of us shared our 30 day plan of action with the group and offered our own advice/support/etc to one another. We also shared pictures we had created of our futures. Then Ruby fell off the ottoman and nearly started a fire. She drank some more wine and fell off again, all the while emphasizing the importance of our integrity and commitment to the group.
